I’m Jason
My Name is Jason Hibbs. I live in Oregon with my wife, Cara, and son Iver. I founded Bourbon Moth Woodworking in 2014 in my small garage shop, to mainly build pieces of furniture for my own home. I never dreamed it would lead me to where I am today. Somewhere along the line, I started to document my building process, posting those videos online with the hopes they could help other’s learn new skills and be creative.
My goal for Bourbon Moth is simple. To share my passion for building with the world. I truly believe that everyone has the ability to be creative and use their hands to make cool things. Sometimes they just need a little motivation to get started. Hopefully our channel will inspire you to get off the couch, make mistakes, learn new things and most importantly, have fun.
My Team
As Bourbon Moth started to grow I quickly realized that I needed some help. So, I broke one of the golden rules in running a business and hired my best friend. Craig Paulsen started working for me in 2022. Craig is the opposite of me in many ways. Mostly in that he knows how technology works and likes to write emails. Which made him the perfect person for the job. His skills and abilities seem to be endless and he puts up with my shenanigans very well.
